Facts of the Östersund Library
History
The Östersund University College started out in 1970 with a small library. From 1982 through 1992 the university library was integrated with the Jämtland County Library. In 1993 the library returned to the college premises and in 1995 was integrated with the library of the School of Nursing and Caring Sciences. In 2001 new library facilities opened on the Östersund campus of Mid Sweden University.
Premises
The library is located in the G building on campus, designed by architect Lennart Köpsén of SWECO FFNS.
Library interior decorator is Bertil Harström of Inredningsgruppen.
The furnishings, birch with hints of burgundy color, come from the Fo:ra company.
