The University Library with Learning Resource Center (LRC), Campus Sundsvall
The Library is situated in building N at Åkroken and houses a variety of printed and electronic resources supporting the curricula of the Mid Sweden University in Sundsvall, see map Campus Sundsvall.
Here, students and faculty have access to computers, copying and scanning facilities including microfiche scanners. Various stationery are for sale in the Library, see pricelist. There are about 340 reading places (including LRC) and computer equipped group rooms offering alternative locations for students engaged in individual studies or group work.
Adjoining the library is a computer lab with place for 17 persons. Access to the library databases on and off-campus is via Student Portal login. The LRC - Learning Resource Center located opposite the Reception, is open around the clock and the facilities include self-study areas and a quiet reading room with seven seats.
Computers
Access to the library computer network on campus is via the Student Portal. Library computers do not have to be reserved in advance.
Your laptop computer can connect to the wireless network (WLAN) allowing access to the Internet. The library also has laptop computers for short period loan. Contact the library for more information.
Headphones and web cameras are available for use in the library; to borrow these, please contact the staff at the information desk.
Group rooms
There are 16 group rooms (study cells) in the library (most of them are computer equipped) and they can be pre-booked via the Student Portal.
Follow these instructions:- Log in to the Student Portal.
- Click on "Room reservation" in the left menu. A new window is opened.
- From the link "Room timetables" in the left menu you will find information about all rooms on campus.
- You will find the booking schedule from the link called: "Study Cells".

Remember that the booking is automatically cancelled if not in use 30 minutes after the booked period. Please note that group rooms are only available during Library opening hours.
